[The hidden tales in a papyrus bundle] The Tale of Pharaoh Khufu and Djedi

Synopsis

The greedy Pharaoh Khufu was secretly searching for a scroll of Thoth (the god of wisdom), which contained a secret knowledge of construction for a perfect pyramid. Though he seemed to have everything with a great wealth, the pharaoh was not satisfied with anything but longing for building a great pyramid for himself at any cost. To kill his boredom, He called his sons every night to entertain him with great wonders of the past. None of the princes could be able to satisfy the king’s mind. However, the wise prince Hadjedef told him about a great magician who lived in Egypt. Khufu taken by surprise ordered to summon him to his court right away. When the great magician came to meet the king of Egypt, he gave a great lesson to Khufu unexpectedly.

This story had divided into five different stories about wonders performed by priest and magicians from the time of Khufu’s forefathers. This original papyrus was known as  <Westcar Papyrus> named after the founder Henry Westcar in 1823.
