



[The hidden tales in a papyrus bundle] The Tale of Brave Egyptian Prince
Synopsis
An Egyptian prince was destined to die by three fatal animals; snake, crocodile, dog, received an oracle by seven goddesses of Hathor at birth. However, he succumbed not to his doomed fate and bravely ventured out to the unknown world. And he reached the kingdom of Naharin, and there he found a new challenge for his own destiny. What the prince did not know was a beautiful Naharin princess waiting for him for true love. Would their true love lift his three curses?
This story seems quite similar to some of our famous tales such as <Rapunzel> or <Cinderella> even other oriental stories. We do not comprehend how this 35oo years old story would have influenced and shaped the modern literature. However, any readers encounter this ancient Egyptian story would feel the dept of its story and the woven layers of its theme were not totally alien to us at all and could share the wisdom of life with ancient readers as well.
